Our magazine is printed on ecoStar+ 100% recycled uncoated paper by Ball & Doggett, and we’re proudly printed in Newcastle by WHO Printing.
2. We’re female led and currently have an all female team
Led by sisters Kristy and Bec, our team of writers, advertising guru, designers and photographers is currently all female!
Many of our team members are also parents to young children, so we’re big on creating a friendly, flexible and fun work environment.
3. Swell is expertly designed by our small team of three clever graphic designers
Kristy, Bec and Claire make up the Design Bug team – the clever artists behind the carefully curated pages of Swell. When they’re not working on Swell, they’re busy helping all sorts of clients take their branding and websites to the next level through our sister biz – Design Bug.
4. All illustrations are created by our in-house designer, Claire
Claire works her magic on just about every issue of Swell, creating super quirky and colourful illustrations to accompany our stories. She really is a wizard!
5. We provide a free full page ad to a different local charity each issue
We’re proud to support local charities by offering a free page ad to a different organisation in each issue of Swell. If you are or know of a local charity that would benefit from this opportunity, please reach out. To date we’ve given away over $70,000 in charity advertising and editorial content. No strings attached – we promise!
6. We also sell Swell merchandise – including two fun t-shirts!
