Newcastle gym Urth Fitness is offering FREE gym access to high school students aged 14 - 18 during the April school holidays, at their Lambton, Charlestown or Belmont locations. It’s all a part of the gym’s commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for people of all ages to work on their health and wellness goals. Gjenae Rosekelly tells us more about what the gym is doing to support the local community.
If you’ve got teenagers looking for something to do these school holidays, send them along to Urth Fitness any time between 12 – 27 April and they’ll be able to enjoy free access to the entire gym floor at any three of Urth’s Newcastle locations.
“We simply want to get kids moving at a young age, and kickstart a healthy fitness routine for them,” says Urth’s Head of Marketing, Gjenae Rosekelly. “We also understand the cost of a gym membership may be the one thing stopping a teenager from joining, so giving them access for free is just a way to introduce them and get them to feel comfortable, social and benefit their physical and mental health.”
As well as the School Holiday pass, Urth hosts a monthly Community Day where anyone can come along and trial the gym for free, including any class and even their Recovery Lounge complete with massage chairs and saunas.
“The next Community Day is on April 28,” says Gjenae. “We’d love anyone local to come along and give the gym a go! We offer a safe and welcoming space where there’s no pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Plus, if you’re already a member you might get some freebies!”
