You’ve seen the videos. Maybe even shared them with a “we need to try this” message in the group chat. Now, for the first time, the Viral Food Festival is coming to Newcastle – so you won’t need to leave town to get your hands on the snacks everyone’s talking about.
The Newcastle Viral Food Festival is hosted by Aussie Night Markets, and is set to be a fun three-day event. As well as the viral food vendors, you can enjoy carnival games, a wrestling ring, roving performers plus a DJ and live band.
What’s on the menu? Expect crispy chicken tenders done the Cluckin’ Canes way, Big Mac-inspired tacos oozing with cheese and Dubai-style bubble waffles stacked high with kataifi and pistachio cream. There’ll be mac and cheese in just about every form you can dream of, plus dessert sticks dusted in Biscoff crumb and finished with a generous drizzle of Bueno sauce. It’s indulgent, a little chaotic but bound to be unforgettable.
